Time to begin again

Well, it's time for the Spring semester to start. Seems like just yesterday I was finishing the last semester. Since my last post, I recieved my test score for the NLN pre-nursing exam. Praise God, I passed with a good score. Now I have to get my application together for the nursing program, and settle in for the long wait to find out if I'll be accepted. For anyone reading this post---prayers are much appreciated. I have a tough semester ahead of me---two four credit-hour courses, both biology courses. But, as always, I'm trusting God to see me through it. He's been so gracious to me in this endeavor, and it's with a heart of gratitude that I give Him glory for all He's done in this, and in every area of my life.
Seems there's a lot going on in the SBC these days. The Founders Ministries blog reports of controversy concerning actions by the IMB. I think it's a symptom of larger problems within the convention. Over the last several months there've been a lot of rumblings within the old guard of the SBC over the resurgent Calvinism within the ranks of the convention. Sometimes it's the subject of pulpit ministries across the denomination. The upcoming "discussion" of Calvinism between Al Mohler and Paige Patterson will bring all this to the forefront, but I feel sure it's not a matter that can actually be "settled". My fear is that it may further divide the denomination. But perhaps what comes from it will strengthen it in some way. I believe that honest debate is a healthy thing. This much is certain....it's in God's hands.
