Life gets hectic sometimes

This has been some week. Take being turned down for a nursing program for the second time after almost two years of classes, your only daughter turns eighteen as a senior in high school...with all the attending stuff that goes with that, Social Security informs you that your daughter's benefits are being cut off, even though you've jumped through all the necessary hoops, and can't get a real person on the line after trying for a week and a half, add a church home that's in turmoil, and you have....well....life. Nothing ever turns out quite like we expect it does it? But perhaps therein lies the problem...expectation. God never promised a life without a lot of complications, miseries, headaches and heartbreaks....in fact He told us just the opposite..."In this world you will have trouble......." The bright side is....He's also promised us a great deal..."never will I leave you, never will I forsake you."...."...but take heart...I have overcome the world." No matter what problems or disappointments living as fallen people in a fallen world may bring...we have hope...not something wished for....a sure hope....in the One who cannot fail to bring to fruition His eternal plans and purposes. That's the one thing that helps us all keep things in an eternal perspective. Blessings.
